Dr. David Cameron

Professor Cameron is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto. A long-time student of Canadian federalism, Quebec nationalism and constitutional reform, in recent decades he has turned his attention to political change and constitution-making in conflict and post-conflict situations in Sri Lanka, Iraq, Somalia, the Western Sahara, and Jerusalem. He has served as a Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Order of Canada, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and a recipient of the Governor General’s International Award for Canadian Studies, the University of Toronto’s Ludwik and Estelle Jus Human Rights Prize, the Carolyn Tuohy Impact on Public Policy Award, and the Adrienne Clarkson Public Service Laureateship.
